Jesse is a writer/director and producer. In 2025 he directed on COOPER AND FRY, a new TV series for Channel 5. He is developing HEIST OF BENIN, a spec feature he wrote and will Executive Produce, with David Oyelowo attached to star, and Ava Duvernay directing, set up at Studio Canal. Other projects in development include feature film PENTESTER, which was on the 2023 Blacklist, and which is in development with Sankara Pictures (The Kings Speech). Also in development is THE TUNNEL, a TV series set up at ITV, with Sheila Nortley producing for Osun Group. He is also developing THE YACHT, a series in development at Green Acre Films.
Jesse is coming off directing on his 5th season of Waterloo Road, in which he also served as an Associate Producer for one episode. Previously he lead directed on seasons 11, for which he was nominated for the Victor Adebodun Award for Best Debut Director at the Edinburgh TV Festival. He also lead directed on seasons 12 and 15, and directed a specialty episode on Season 16. Jesse's other credits include Love Is A Stranger, episode 4 of season 8's INSIDE NO 9, which received a 5 Star Review in The Times.
Jesse's first feature film, CALLOUSED HANDS, starred Andre Royo (HBO's THE WIRE) and Daisy Haggard (BBC'S BACK TO LIFE). Produced through his own company Woolfcub Productions, it screened in over 20 festivals around the world, garnering numerous awards. Jesse's second feature film CAGEFIGHTER starred Gina Gershon and Chuck Liddell, and was released in select theaters in 2020, followed by a global online release on Crackle.
Jesse is a full member of BAFTA, Director's UK, WGGB, and the WGA. Additionally, he is an alum of numerous writing labs and fellowships including the Royal Court Young Writer's Programme, Soho Theatre Writer's Attachment Programme, Berlinale Talent Campus, B3 Media Talent Lab, NALIP Latino Writer's Lab, and the BBC Writer's Room.
In his downtime he enjoys spending time with his family and training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, which he holds a Black Belt in. Jesse is represented by Gersh Agency in the US, Revolution Talent in the UK, and managed by Industry Entertainment.
